Shane Derbyshire graduated as a Chiropractor in 2015 after spending 5 years in South Wales studying.

 

It was his ambition to come home to his roots in Norfolk and to help those struggling with spinal related pain.

 

Over the years, he has worked in a variety of different settings and helped people from a variety of backgrounds ranging from young athletes to the elderly.

 

He has also worked both privately and for the NHS within the West Norfolk Back Pain Pathway.

 

Shane believes in a patient centred approach and likes to include both exercise and lifestyle advice to supplement his hands on therapy.

Credentials

  • MChiro (Masters degree in Chiropractic) 2010-2015

Shane achieved a 2:1 in this integrated masters degree at the University of South Wales.  

  • Post Graduate Certification in Medical Acupuncture 2019

This certification now allows Shane to safely perform medical acupuncture for the relief of pain. 

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Chronic pain management 2019- Present

Shane is currently completing this diploma which helps him to better manage chronic pain conditions. 

  • Clinical Academic Research Internship - UEA - 2021 

This served as an introduction to research and has lead to a paper published in the journal - Chiropractic and Manual therapies - Paper here

Bene moved from Italy to Wales to study as a Chiropractor, in 2011. 

She graduated in 2015 and moved to Norfolk, gaining experience in different clinical settings.

Bene later qualified as a Yoga and Meditation teacher in 2017 and has recently qualified and now practicing as a psychotherapist. 

Bene uses a person-centred approach that considers the interplay of body and mind. 

She believes in implementing different modalities to best help the individual needs of her patients, using hands on therapy, exercise, Yoga and meditation techniques, and lifestyle advice.

Bene has worked with a variety of people and issues. She likes to work with long standing back and neck pain, to help her patients re-gain strength and confidence in their body, helping them find tools to manage the physical and emotional stress of pain.

  • Diploma in Counselling Skills (level4)

  • 200H Yoga Teacher Training with All Yoga Thailand (RYT)

  • Member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, Counselling Society, and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

  • 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Relief for Healthcare providers with the British Mindfulness Institute.

  • Medical Acupuncture Foundation course with the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

Rachael Curnow

Rachael has a wide range of experience in both Private and NHS Physiotherapy and Chiropractic clinics after starting her career in the health and fitness industry 16 years ago.

Rachael graduated in 2006 with a Btec National Diploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences. Rachael worked as a fitness professional for 4 years and discovered she wanted to help those who were unable to attend gym sessions due to injury, not just those who were fit and healthy.

 

Rachael started working in a private Physio clinic to gain experience and qualified as a soft tissue therapist in 2012. After 5 years as a soft tissue therapist.

 

Rachael went on to Chichester University where she graduated in 2017 with a Bsc (Hons) Injury & Treatment. 

Rachael has since worked as a Rehabilitation Specialist in a Chiropractic clinic and in the NHS Physiotherapy department as a Rehabilitation Practitioner covering South Norfolk and, in this role, has worked with both pre and post op Hip, Knee and shoulder replacement patients and trained as an ESCAPE provider (Enabling Self-management and Coping with Arthritic Pain using Exercise).
